13 chapters. 125,327 words. Two and a half years. And several grisly deaths, naturally.
How better to quietly celebrate actually finishing a novel for the first time, than listening to Together in Electric Dreams, drinking a can of Becks lager and gnawing a slab of chocolate?

Please may I read it?

Congratulations dearest Benjamin. I can feel the weight lifting off your shoulders and the mantle of achievement bearing down upon your head. Now, if only I could finish something for once.

Congratulations. Although I quite fancy joining you in gnawing that chocolate. pre-summer diets suck.

And I neglected to mention that the very last word is one of my favourites in the English language - very appropriately quietly optimistic.

sounds like a perfectly fine way to celebrate to me. excellent choice of music too. I’m just wondering what the chocolate was - the choice of chocolate bar says a lot about a person you know.

It was a piece of Green & Black’s white chocolate. Not my own, but kindly donated by my dad’s partner from her personal stash.
