I'm sorry I haven't had the time to reply to you all before now, but thank you very much for your thoughts and offers of support. I still haven't heard from mother so I am still none the wiser as to what her sudden malfunction was, but I've been well looked after this past month by some of the most loving and generous people I've ever had the luck and privilege to encounter. Life has become a state of damage control that is only now leveling out into something near normality. Life is becoming a state of falling in love with existence again in almost every possible way. This is my fallow month - systems shut down to essential functions only. The Boy Who Could But Didn't is doing it. "Really doing it." He will return very shortly. Hallo kindly readers.
